Two weeks ago I had asked for help sealing the exterior of the house. It's a big job as there is over 4000 sq ft of wood that needs to be sealed, and it is a 3 coat system. I was overwelmed by the number of people that gave up their weekend and travelled 3 to 4 hours just to get here. Al came up Thursday afternoon and installed an extra toilet and did some wiring in preparation for the rest of the crowd. Thanks again Al. The rest started showing up Friday afternoon. Catherine passed away that evening and I wasn't sure what to do. I decided to continue with the project(I know Catherine would have wanted me to), and I was really glad I did. It was nice to be surrounded by friends and family during a difficult time. Thanks again to everyone. The place looks beautiful. Below are some shots from the weekend.

Getting started.

No John....we don't stain the windows...

A beehive of activity

The staining crew. They finished 2 coats of stain (1 coat per day)
On Monday Al's son and his buddies came down to help with the final clear coat. By Tuesday morning they were done.

No ladder required for this tall guy.
The final crew that finished the house. Thanks guys
The house looks great.

The end result. I love it.

The weekend prior to this weekend, Danny came up to give me a hand burying the bell line. It was a hard days work and we advanced the cable another 150 ft through the forest. Now I only have another 200 ft to go. Thanks Danny.
We started at the well.
It was tough digging through the woods, but I can almost hear the phone ringing now.....
